Last year we headed to Dubai and our love for food took us to PF Chang's on my sister in law's recommendation. It was hard to decide what to pick for the menu was delectable itself. We ordered Tofu Lettuce wraps which are one of the most popular dishes at PF Chang's. It was all about fresh flavours, fresh herbs and fresh lettuce that gave it the crispy texture.
Today's Recipe is inspired by the tofu wraps that we ate at PF Chang's but with Mumbai to Melbourne's twist on the flavours.
So here is the Recipe for Soy and Garlic Tofu Lettuce Wraps- with Mint and Siracha Dipping sauce.

Step 1- Making the Tofu Filling
Slice the firm tofu and marinate it with 2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce and garlic powder and toasted sesame seeds for about 30 mins and keep it in a cool place. After about 30 minutes it should be coated well. Now chop it up finely.
Next pound some cashew-nuts in a mortar and pestle still keeping them chunky. Keep them aside.
Now take a Wok and add the peanut oil/ Olive oil, add half of the chopped garlic and then add the chilli and once they are aromatic add the finely chopped tofu. Toss it well on high flame. Lastly check for salt and then add chopped basil leaves. Finally add the roughly pounded cashew-nuts and mix well.
This is the Tofu Filling ready.
Step 2 - Making the Dipping Sauce
Take a bowl add the remaining chopped garlic, pinch of sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, siracha sauce and salt to taste. Mix it well. Add about 30 ml of water and mix well. Lastly add finely chopped mint leaves.
This is the Dipping sauce ready.
All you need to do now is add the filling into the lettuce pieces and wrap it up with tomato and mint and dip it in this amazing dipping sauce straight into your mouth.
Myriad flavours will hit your mouth - tangy, sour, sweet, spicy with different textures. Crunchy Lettuce with chunky Tofu and Nuts.
